Watch the Dubai Fountain
The Dubai Fountain sits on the lake at the foot of the Burj Khalifa and puts on choreographed water, light and music shows, with regular performances through the evening. Find a spot on the promenade, or watch from home: The Manhattan, The Mayfair, The Andaman and The Coastal all look out over the fountain.
Go up the Burj Khalifa
The observation decks near the top of the world's tallest building give a view that stretches to the desert and the sea. Book ahead and aim for sunset, the most popular slot. Stays at The Nordic, The Mayfair and The Coastal include a complimentary 30 minute visit to the Sky Lounge in the Burj Khalifa.
Explore Dubai Mall
Dubai Mall is far more than shopping. Inside you will find the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, an ice rink, KidZania for younger children, a cinema and a huge choice of restaurants. On a hot afternoon it is the easiest way to keep everyone happy.
Souk Al Bahar and the Old Town
Across the lake from the mall, Souk Al Bahar has an Arabian style setting with shops and restaurants, many with terraces facing the fountain. The low-rise streets of Downtown's Old Town area are pleasant for an evening walk.
Dubai Opera and Burj Park
Dubai Opera hosts concerts, ballet, musicals and comedy throughout the season, and its shape is inspired by a traditional dhow. Burj Park, next to the Burj Khalifa, is a green space with a great view of the tower and is often used for outdoor events.
Stay within walking distance
